In honor of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day (October 15th), we organize an annual community remembrance walk. The purpose of this walk is for us all to come together and celebrate the lost lives of our babies, to help bring awareness of miscarriage and stillbirth, and share support of the immense loss experienced by so many. As of 2015 our organization has taken on the project of bringing the gift of a Cuddle Cot to Philadelphia and surrounding area hospitals. Learn more by clicking on our Projects link above.

A Walk to Remember

~ Philadelphia ~

About

A Walk To Remember Philadelphia is open to all families, friends, and supporters of those affected by the loss of a child through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, and early infant loss. Throughout the event, there is music, information stations, activities, and light refreshments. Towards the end of the event, we will announce the names of the babies' lives being remembered, which will be followed by a short symbolic walk to the riverside beach where we have a butterfly release. A single butterfly will be provided to the family of each baby recognized, and each participant will receive a candle to light in remembrance of these angels on October 15th, National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.  Additional Butterflies can be ordered, and must be requested  by emailing awalktorememberphilly@gmail.com no later than one week before the event (September 28th). In order to have your baby's name in the program, please register using the form below by September 28th.
This walk is free to attend; however, donations are greatly appreciated as this event is made possible through donations. Funds raised during these events contribute directly to the expenses of the walk each year. We work hard to make this event a positive experience for the families who live with this loss every day. A Walk To Remember Philadelphia is a day to celebrate and remember every one of these angels' lives, no matter how short.

Notice: Photos are taken throughout the walk and could be posted on our FB page and website.  By registering and attending you are acknowledging that your photo may appear on these webpages and give us permission to do so.
